5 Pillars or types of Volunteerism at Hull are:
Mentors – Mentors Matter
- Mentors help youth develop friendships, skills, confidence and networks within the community
- Mentor roles include one-on-one mentors, group mentors, peer mentors, couples for kids, recreation mentors and tutors

Special Events
- Volunteers assist with special events such as Stampede Breakfast and seasonal celebrations
- Volunteers help plan and organize fundraising events such as Big Hearted Cowboys, Hullelujah, Hull- in- One Golf Classic, casinos and other unique events
Group Involved Volunteers - GIV
- Group Volunteers experiences can be tailored to groups of all sizes
- Groups may help with renovations, landscaping, special skills, special events, youth and family support and fundraising initiatives
Special Skills
- Volunteers share expertise, talents and specialized interests to help young people and Hull employees
- These can be offered through Virtual Volunteerism (providing remote assistance), Pro bono work, direct involvement
