Mentors Matter

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Hull Child and Family Services.

People served by Hull are often vulnerable and at risk. For these reasons, a thorough screening process is in place and implemented for everyone interested in volunteering.

For those individuals seeking a mentoring role, several requirements must be completed before becoming actively engaged as a Hull Mentor:

  • complete an application form
  • schedule an interview
  • attend an orientation session
  • identify appropriate program/project placement
  • sign a Statement of Confidentiality

Once these steps are completed, Hull offers:

  • ongoing orientation and training
  • regular evaluations
  • recognition

To enable us to make the right match between you, your interests, programs and persons served by Hull, please complete the Volunteer Mentor Application Form (238 KB).

The time and effort you take to complete these forms is appreciated. Once you have completed these forms, contact our office to schedule an interview.

At the time of your interview, please bring two pieces of government issued ID. You will be asked to complete:

  • Alberta Children's Services Intervention Record Check
  • Police Information Check

If you have any questions or concerns, we would be pleased to discuss them with you during your interview.

If you're interested in other volunteer opportunities, special events, special skills, or group volunteering, please contact us for more information.
